Did you know we now offer riding lessons, training workshops and horsemanship classes?

We’ve been offering Equine Facilitated Learning in Michigan since 2008, but due to the addition of more wonderful lesson horses and the ability to collaborate with top of the line instructors and coaches, we’ve been able to add more riding opportunities in Greater Lansing! We now offer a limited number of beginner riding lessons, horse leases for intermediate riders, and therapeutic riding lessons. The feedback after our first year of expansion has been entirely positive and we are so thankful for the community’s support!

Quality Horses, Quality Program

Our most recent expansion took place when Scottsdale Winner and Multi-Regional Champion DaVinci’s Echo+ joined the herd of wonderful lessons and therapy horses we utilize. We fell in love with his ability to connect with people both in the saddle and on the ground, and went on to also purchase his younger cousin that same year after an impressive win at National Show Horse Finals. We’ve always believed that if you put quality in, you’ll get quality out; and our riders and their families have found that to be true. Quality facilities, quality horses and quality instruction: following best practices, seeking continuing education as horse professionals, and prioritizing learning the highest level of safety standards (PATH International’s) while enjoying adventure at the same time. Do you want the opportunity to grow and gain lifelong skills through your time with horses?

Our riding lessons and unmounted classes give adults, children and teenagers a chance to be around horses. It’s amazing the problem-solving skills and patience horses can teach!

Starting Summer 2023, we added riding lessons to our counseling, wellness, sports psychology and unmounted therapeutic program due to ongoing requests. Our riding lessons are a good fit for you if:

  • Nature and animals seem to ground you and bring you peace

  • You prefer interactive and trauma-informed teaching

  • You learn by practicing and experiencing, rather than just hearing

  • You want excellence in instruction and to work with horses who are well cared for and healthy

  • You want the opportunity to learn on horses who have solid experience showing and can help you advance, with help from seasoned trainers, judges, coaches or therapeutic riding instructors

We have wonderful, kind horses waiting for you to begin your equestrian journey with us here in Mid-Michigan. While our program primarily uses several Arabian horses for lessons, we also have a couple of horses of other breeds who love to help riders learn too!
